Prepare event photos, videos and audio before delivery

Most delivery problems are easier to resolve before a client receives the gallery. A successful import only confirms that a file reached the service; it does not prove that the image, sound or intended export is correct.

Use this preparation checklist for mixed-media event deliveries. Keep original production files separately and upload the reviewed exports that belong in the client handover.

01

Prepare photo exports for the audience

Export finished photographs rather than camera RAW files. Check orientation, colour and resolution on a sample, and use clear filenames. Galafolio rejects RAW inputs, and HEIC support should not be assumed for every device or processing environment. A tested JPEG export is a practical starting point for a photograph intended for broad browsing.

02

Review video and audio as well as filenames

A familiar file extension does not establish that its contents will play correctly for every recipient. Test the exported video and audio on the intended browsers, including a phone. Check the beginning, middle and end, sound levels and whether the file is the final version. Avoid sending an export with a silent track or an unintended test title.

03

Complete the visitor check

Compare the uploaded set with your delivery list and remove unintended duplicates from publication. Check album names, visibility, access and permitted downloads. Open the visitor link outside the studio session and retrieve a sample file if downloads are enabled. Keep a separate backup and communicate the delivery's availability period.

Put it into practice

A workflow to prepare.

Keep production sources and review the final exports.

  2. 02

Import a representative sample and test it on the target devices.

  3. 03

Verify the complete published set and the visitor's next actions.

Useful answers

Should I upload camera RAW files?

No. Prepare supported delivery exports. The gallery is intended to present event media, not replace a production archive of camera originals.

Can an imported video still need another export?

Yes. File containers and the media inside them are different considerations. If the intended browser cannot play the export, prepare and test a compatible version before handover.
