A transfer link and a client gallery can both help hand over event files, but they answer different questions. Choose according to what the recipient needs to do after receiving the link.
Use this decision guide before selecting a workflow. A gallery is useful for exploring and presenting a delivery; a transfer may be enough when the recipient simply needs a known set of files.
If the client already knows the contents, expects a single batch and only wants to copy the files into their own storage, a transfer service may meet the brief. Check that service's size limits, expiry and download behaviour directly. Do not assume another provider's current terms from a general comparison.
An event gallery lets the recipient browse images, find albums, listen to audio and watch supplied video before choosing what to retrieve. In Galafolio, branding, access settings and client selections can support a longer handover. A photographer collecting a defined selection has a different need from a communication team downloading an approved batch.
Ask whether the client needs previews, separate albums, a submitted selection or just originals. Then test access, file availability and downloads without the manager's session. In either approach, state the availability period and explain who keeps a durable backup. Neither a link nor an attractive presentation replaces a clear delivery agreement.
